Where are we staying?
You will be staying on the long-range cruising, luxury liveaboard Aqau Cat yacht. The twin-hulled show piece incorporates three spacious decks of comfort and efficiency that turns heads wherever she goes. The Aqua Cat accommodates 22 passengers in 11 attractive, fully air-conditioned ocean-view cabins.
Where are we diving?
You will do up to five dives a day Sunday-Thursday, including possible night dives, and two dives on Friday. The Aqua Cat travels from Nassau, Bahamas to the Exuma Islands. The Exumas have walls starting at 40 feet, as well as numerous reefs and drift dives. There are miles of undersea gardens in which coral, sponges, and fish abound. Turtles, rays, and sharks are seen regularly on most dive sites. The Lost Blue Hole lies in 40 feet of water surrounded by coral heads, sting rays and many schools of fish. Many of Aqua Cat’s dive sites are frequented by Caribbean Reef Sharks and Nurse Sharks.
How are we getting there?
You will fly from Eppley Airport in Omaha to Nassau International Airport. Aqua Cat will provide transportation from the Nassau airport to the ship through Island Escape Tours.
What’s included?
Included on your trip aboard the Aqua Cat are three gourmet meals a day. Snacks and fresh fruits are always available. Most meals will be a combination of Bahamian and American cuisine. A selection of beverages is always on hand, from soft drinks, juices and lemonade to beer, wine, rum, and tropical drinks. All of your dives are included in your price, as well as your air fills, tanks, weights, and weight belts.
What’s not included?
Airfare is not included in the listed price of this trip. Once you pay your deposit, we will move forward with airfare scheduling and pricing.
If you do not have your own equipment, Aqua Cat has top of the line equipment to rent, ranging from mask and fins, to BCD’s, regulators, computers and photography kits. If you are not already a diver, you can enroll in a $99 Discover Scuba Diving course, or finish your Open Water checkout dives for $125. If you prefer Nitrox diving, Nitrox fills are available for $150 for the week. Costs for shore excursions during the week are not included. You will be responsible for your final dinner on Friday night at one of Nassau’s restaurants.
What is the change/cancellation policy?
$100 is required to reserve your spot on this trip. This will hold your spot and count as a credit toward your trip. This $100 is non-refundable.
A non-refundable deposit of $1,500 is required by January 1. Refunds will be given for amounts beyond the deposit based on reselling your space less any penalties by vendors. Cancellation 59 days or less to departure, no refunds will be given.
