What is your favorite piece of equipment?
My favorite piece of equipment is my BC, regulator, fins and mask strap... ok, I like all of it. My BC is the best fitting and most comfortable women's BC made especially for plus size women. It Is very hard for larger women to feel good about diving, and there are a lot of them. It is not a sport that flatters your figure, unless you are a very small woman. We can help by providing equipment that fits. It is very humiliating to try to buy equipment and nothing fits.
Where is your favorite place to dive?
My favorite place to dive is the ocean, but I have to pretend the lakes here are the Ozarks Ocean. I love to see Catfish. I like Bennett Springs also. It is cold, but usually clear.
What got you into scuba diving?
I started scuba diving because my boyfriend was certified and I thought it would be fun. I have always loved water and wat always in trouble because I was in the farm pond or trying to play in the branch in six inches of water.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
I love teaching children. My favorite part of teaching anybody is just to watch them have fun and it should be a lot of fun while teaching safe diving.. It is very fulfilling when you help someone who is having problems and they succeed. That takes a lot more patience and work, but it is worth every minute.
