James was born in Sarasota, Florida. As a child if he was near the water, he was happy. His childhood memories are of swimming, surfing, fishing, boating and snorkeling. One of his best memories is of lobster hunting with his father in the Florida Keys.
Being in the water was fun, but James really wanted to spend time under the water. In May 2010, James completed his goal of becoming a scuba diver. This goal turned into a passion and James reached his Century Diver certification in just under six months (a great feat for a Midwest diver).
James’ new goal is to become a scuba instructor and he is well on his way, having completed a multitude of advances courses and currently working on his Dive Control Specialist certification. When he’s not helping customers at the shop, chances are James is diving in one of the surrounding lakes! It still holds true... if James is near the water, he’s happy.
