Brian was certified in the 1998 and become an instructor as quickly as possible. He spent a lot of time diving in Florida, Cayman and Cozumel and completed a scuba apprenticeship in the Florida Keys before becoming an instructor in 2001. Brian teaches a variety of classes at DiVentures and is known for his humor and wit, as well as excellent teaching skills.
Brian is married and has two adorable kids, who can be found around the dive shop quite often. The only downfall to Brian is his undying support to the Iowa Hawkeyes, but luckily he can't watch any football underwater.

Why did you choose that gear?
It is the best quality and most comfortable to me. My fins are of highest priority to me. They are the fastest scuba fins I've ever tried. The other gear is my favorite over all other types I've tried.
What is your favorite place to dive?
My favorite place to date is Bloody Bay Wall, Little Cayman.
What got you into scuba diving?
A family friend paid for me to get certified. It came natural and easy to me.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
It's the most fun way to make money.
